After much deliberation and prayer, the Board of CMC Australasia Pty Ltd, the underwriters and organisers of CRE, has made a decision not to continue the Christian Resources Exhibition in its current format. Therefore the exhibition advertised for July 2007 at the Sydney Showground will not go ahead as planned.
We have been privileged to put the time, expertise and finances into presenting CRE over the past six years and believe a huge number of business and organisations have highly benefited from the exposure and opportunity, along with the many visitors who have benefited from visiting CRE.
We continue to firmly believe in the concept of CRE and the benefit to both exhibitors and the Christian public; however it would appear that the number of exhibitors required and the number of decision makers from the Christian public required to attend an exhibition of this size and quality to make it break even, are not right for that particular venue at that particular time of the year, so it will not be continued in the same format.
As Organisers we would like to emphasize that we are not abandoning the idea of CRE, but rather investigating ways to change the format to achieve the ultimate aim of CRE, that is, to bring together those who support, work with and provide for the church with those who attend the church, in the most effective way.
Research is underway to ascertain the viability of smaller and more regional exhibitions, maybe even specialised ones, and our team is working through a number of options, but at this stage is waiting on the Lord for guidance and direction. We will be sure to keep you informed on this site of any future developments.
